Abstract:

Because of their many useful electrical and mechanical properties, ordered organic monolayer films may be a key material used in future electronics and electrochemical applications. However, the complex relationships among these thin films structure and bonding, and their electrical and chemical properties remain largely unknown. A discussion of the varied properties of these films and a proposed approach to calculating the electrical conductivities of the these films are provided.
