This research project was to explore and develop the technologies necessary to build high performance computers from low-cost VLSI-based microprocessors. The project embraced a wide set of technologies for achieving these goals 1 Novel parallel computer architectures and associated parallel software 2 High performance microprocessor design 3 High speed CMOS and BiCMOS design and 4 Development of key supporting technologies such as testing and CAD technologies.
