It covers the authority and responsibilities of combatant commanders, subordinate joint force commanders, component commanders, and all agencies involved in the deployment and sustainment of a joint force across the range of military operations. It provides guidance for the request, apportionment, and use of this support during the deliberate or crisis action planning and implementation processes.
