Abstract:
The Federal Aviation Administrations Office of Environment and Energy, with the assistance of the Acoustics Facility at the United States Department of Transportations John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center is conducting research in support of the National Parks Overflight Rule National Rule. The foundation of the research program for the National Rule is the performance of noise dosevisitor response dose-response studies in several National Parks. This document summarizes the results of a dose-response study conducted along two separate segments of a frontcountry, short-hike trail at Bryce Canyon National Park during the period August 19 through 27, 1997.
