This thesis presents an OPNET model and simulation of a single cell wireless communications system within a proposed expeditionary warfare communications network. The focus of this thesis is to model and implement data and voice traffic generation, slofted ALOHA medium access control protocol, and direct sequence spread spectrum code division multiple access CDMA mechanisms in OPNET. The RF channel is modeled as both a Rayleigh fading channel and a non-fading noise limited channel. Simulation results evaluating the induced BER and multiple access implementation are presented.
