This report supplements the data and analyses provided in the previously released Composite Failure Analysis Handbook, WL-TR-91-4032DOTFAACT-9123. It contains fractograhic data from failed composite test specimens as well as ease histories of failed composite structure. Fractographic data from statically loaded test specimens are presented for carbonepoxy AS43501-6, carbon pseudothermoplastic AS4KIII, carbonpolyimide AS4PMR-15, carbonthermoplastic AS4PEEK, carbonbismaleimide AS4MR-54-4, and carbon and glass low-temperature curing epoxy, HTA 5131-12KRutapox L-20SL and EC 9-756K43Rutapox L-20SL materials. Fractographic data are presented for translaminar and interlaminar carbonresin laminate fatigue specimens, as well as for several failure modes in composite skin nomex honeycomb core specimens. Three failure investigations, including two composite honeycomb structures and one carbonepoxy laminate structure, are also documented.
