Innovative bioremediation technology was evaluated for its effectiveness at removing petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants from a site featuring clay soils underlain by a partially-cemented sandstone with an extensive smear zone was dewatered to facilitate soil aeration and the clay layer was aerated by forced air injection.
