Abstract:
Because little is known about the subject, the purpose of the study is to describe perioperative nurse preparedness to identify and manage MH. A description of nurse preparedness may serve to improve clinical practice and reduce the risks associated with MH for surgical patients. The specific aims of this study are as follows 1 to describe the perioperative nurses training, level of knowledge, and perceived educational needs regarding the identification and management of MH nurse preparedness. 2 to describe the availability of MH supplies, cart, medications and institutional protocol necessary to maximize patient outcomes during MH crises institutional preparedness.
