Abstract:
The scope of this project was to complete a desktop corrosion control study for Howard Air Force Base to determine the most effective and economical treatment to combat high lead levels in first draw tap samples collected under the Lead and Copper Rule LCR. The Environmental Protection Agency EPA recommends using a seven step approach for completing desktop evaluations. Using the EPA seven step method for completing desktop evaluations, the recommended treatment option for Howard AFB is phosphate inhibitors.
