Abstract:

In the last few years there has been a lot of progression in the development of identification and authentication mechanisms. Tokens are frequently applied within these mechanisms. These tokens can vary from simple magnetic cards to superSmart cards. superSmart cards can operate fully self-employed. Also frequently applied for identification and authentication are biometrics. To obtain a clear insight in the momentary available products and developments TNO-FEL was assigned by the Military Intelligence Service located by the Royal Netherlands Air Force AMIDKLu to make a product survey. The products included in the survey will be tested according to a selected group of threats. This threats are lined up in consultation with the commissioner. This tests will be performed to support possible choices of policy in relation to apply such products.
