A Community Study of Psychological Distress and Immune Function in Women with Family Histories of Breast Cancer.
Annual rept. 1 Sep 95-31 Aug 96,
SLOAN-KETTERING INST FOR CANCER RESEARCH NEW YORK
Pagination or Media Count:
To date 41 women have been recruited for the experimental study and initial data have been entered. As we have only nineteen women with family histories of breast cancer and 22 women without a family history of breast cancer it would be premature to compare these two groups of women. The preliminary results are therefore presented for the whole sample. The results indicate that acute stressors induce a biphasic response of Natural Killer Cell Activity NKCA.
