Abstract:

Many have used the Bible to inform ethics, but I am not aware of a book in the Bible being studied and applied to military ethics. Christians in the military are more bound to Christian ethics than to military ethics, or any other ethical system. This paper is an example of asking ethical questions of Scripture from the point of view of a Christian in the military. It would be interesting to see this done for other Old Testament and New Testament books, but that is beyond the scope of my present study. I will focus on the book of Amos to discover how Christians in todays Army can apply ethics in Amos.
