ES and presents the results of an engineering evaluationcost analysis BECA conducted to evaluate the use of intrinsic remediation natural attenuation with long-term monitoring LTM for remediation of fuel-hydrocarbon contamination dissolved in ground water at underground storage tank UST Site 870, Hill Air Force Base AFB, Utah. Previous investigations determined that JP-4 jet fuel had been released into the soil and shallow ground water at the site. The main emphasis of the work described herein was to evaluate the potential for intrinsic degradation mechanisms to reduce dissolved-phase benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene BTEX concentrations in ground water to levels that are protective of human health and the environment.
