Abstract:
Although there have been methods in place to control Ozone O3 for the past 30 years, there are still periods when O3 levels exceed levels dictated by the Environmental Protection Agency as safe. The Southeast U.S. currently maintains 40 of the nonattainment areas in the U.S. Nitric Oxide NO plays a significant role in the production of ozone, however the biogenic contribution of this critical trace gas is not clearly understood.
