Abstract:

This pamphlet describes the conceptual foundations for the conduct of future operations in War and OOTW involving Force XXI--the US Army of the early twenty-first century. The US Army is defined in this concept as the active Army, Army Reserve, Army National Guard, and Department of the Army civilians. This pamphlet provides TRADOCs Task Force XXI, Battle Laboratories, doctrine writers, combat developers, and trainers a vision of future conflict for the development of supporting concepts, programs, experiments, and initiatives. Finally, the concept offers implications for doctrine, training, leader development, organizations, materiel, and soldiers DTLOMS.
