Cultural Resource Site 4lCV1505, The Leon River Medicine Wheel at Fort Hood, is a unique sacred site and should be protected. It was discovered in February 1990, and as part of the ongoing base-wide evaluation of cultural resources by the United States Army, was scheduled for National Register evaluation in May 1994. The archeological assessment was conducted by Mariah Associates, Inc. a subsidiary of TRC Environmental Company immediately prior to a Native American ceremony which rededicated and renewed the spiritual harmony of the Leon River Medicine Wheel.
