Abstract:

The introduction briefly relates the background and need for the practical analysis of combat power. A review of doctrine highlights a lack of practical how to for the analysis of combat power. The monograph reviews the Force.Ratio method and discusses its strengths and shortcomings. The elements of combat power are reviewed and submitted as criteria for analyzing relative combat power. In order to be effective, a technique must account for the effects of combat power. The monograph discusses a model of BGR Wass de Czege that explores the effects of combat power. Next, the monograph introduces the Relative Combat Power Matrix. Finally, the monograph offers a hypothetical situation to walk the reader through the how to of the Relative Combat Power Matrix. The monographic loses with a summary and draws some conclusions on the merits of the Relative Combat Power Matrix.
