The number of neutrons emitted by a RaBe source was measured by integrating the thermal neutron activity of a standard detector in a water tank. It was found that the number of neutrons emitted by Source II 10 g of Be mixed with I g of Ra is 14.0 x 10exp 6 neutrons per second.
