Abstract:

The use of alkoxides as ancillary ligands in the organometallic chemistry and catalysis of the early transition metals is reviewed. The review includes acetylene metathesis, olefin metathesis, ring-opening metathesis polymerization, and polymerization of alkynes. In all cases, well-defined initiators are employed and the polymerization process is living. jg
