Abstract:
The main purpose of this document is to apply ground penetrating radar GPR technology to the problem of locating and identifying buried ordnance at military sites. The emphasis of the research applied GPR technology to an airborne system that will allow very large parcels of land to be processed. This contract represents one portion of an overall U.S. Government program to clear former and present military ordnance ranges of all unexploded ordnance and other buried devices that pose a threat to the public.
