Abstract:

This memorandum provides a brief overview of peacekeeping training opportunities and their availability around the globe. This paper addresses the training requirements associated with the unique military requirements inherent in United Nations peacekeeping, peacemaking and peace-Enforcement operations. It also considers the adequacy of worldwide training available in support of such operations. In conclusion, it recommends creation of training opportunities in areas where they are currently inadequate to support anticipated United Nations military involvements.
