Abstract:

In this report we present a theoretical study on the performance of an implementation of the FDTD code on a massively parallel computer. The finite difference time domain FDTD method is one of the most popular approaches for the numerical modelling of a wide variety of electromagnetic wave interaction problems. The analysis presented is carreid out for radar cross section RCS prediction but can with minor adaptations, be used for other electomagnetic problems.
