The primary purpose of this project is to validate the HVAC2 Toolkit calculations for a cooling coil in high humidity conditions. A total of 19 experimental runs at different entering air temperature and humidity conditions were performed at the Joint Center for Energy Management HVAC Laboratory that exposed a cooling coil to temperature and humidity conditions that are typically found in the southern United States. The inlet conditions and manufacturers coil rating data was used as input to the HVAC2 Toolkit simple cooling coil subroutine CCSIM. The predicted results from the toolkit were then compared to the experimental results.
