Abstract:
This report presents the results of the Community Environmental Response Facilitation Act CERFA investigation conducted by The Earth Technology Corporation TETC at Bennett Army National Guard Facility, a U.S. Government property selected for closure by the Base Realignment and Closure BRAC Commission. Under CERFA, Federal agencies are required to identify real property that can be immediately reused and redeveloped. Satisfying this objective requires the identification of real property where no hazardous substances or petroleum products, regulated by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act CERCLA, were stored for one year or more, known to have been released, or disposed. The Bennett Army National Guard Facility is a 243-acre site more or less located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, approximately 30 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado. The installations primary mission was from 1961 to 1965, when it served as a Titan Missile Launch Complex. Activities associated with the property that have environmental significance were fuel storage, and wastewater disposal. Bennett Army National Guard Facility, CERFA, Base closure, BRAC.
