Abstract:
Describes Partnering, a disputes prevention mechanism, for a small construction project using the Drayton Hall streambank protection project as an illustration. This case study provides examples of the kinds of issues that were raised by the parties and that developed during the project. This study assesses the value of Partnering in small projects and illustrates how Partnering can contribute to the success of a small project especially when there has been limited experience with the USACE contract administration, when one or all parties have hidden concerns, and there is a need to build relationships among the parties to the project.
