Abstract:

Nuclear energy can be a premier national industry with a promising future if our government and the public wake up now and smell the coffee. There are a number of key issues requiring action to get commercial nuclear power back on track waste management, regulatory fixes, public support, safety, plant design standardization, executive leadership and government focus . Each of these issues can be resolved in favor of the industry, if only our nation has the will and common sense to take the smart way out.
