Abstract:

The design and installation at the Naval Postgraduate School of a cold-flow test facility for the turbine of the high-pressure fuel turbopump of the Space Shuttle Main Engine, is reported. The specific article to be tested is the Alternate Development Model designed and manufactured by Pratt Whitney. The design of individual components is documented.
