Abstract:

In an earlier note Cimbala and Park 1990 presented a method for calibrating constant temperature hot wires in incompressible gas flow which accounts for ambient temperature changes. Their method involves the retention of the temperature dependence in a form of Kings Law. However, in practice the method proves difficult to implement due to a numerical difficulty in finding a best fit to the assumed functional form.
