Abstract:
For complex helmet systems that include optical displays and enhancements, as well as advanced sound attenuation, etc., the old methods for using anthropometry in design are inadequate. In this report, approaches for characterizing the human in the design process are described that provide, for the first time, shape and contour information. These methods have begun to revolutionize the helmet design process....Anthropometry, Helmets, Design.
