Data on aircraft executing simultaneous visual approaches to closely spaced parallel and intersecting runways were collected at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport STL between August 2 and October 23, 1990. The purpose of the data collection was to provide an accurate data base of the navigational characteristics of aircraft flying the fly visual segment of the approach. Aircraft position data were collected using the in-place STL surveillance primary and secondary radars. The data were reduced and a limited analysis was performed at the Federal Aviation Administration FAA Technical Center by ATC Technology ACD-340 personnel. The discussion in the Final Report concerns the accuracy of the collected position data and possible sources of error in the data collection. The reduced data were sent to the Standards Development Branch AVN-540 for further analysis. AVN-540 will report on their findings and recommendations....
