The emergence of thin film and bulk technologies has resulted in an increasing emphasis in applications. The purpose of this symposium is to bring together a group of interdisciplinary scientists and engineers to help identify and solve the material related issues that still hamper the application of HTS materials. Specific topics to be emphasized include Transport in bulk superconductors Weak links and Josephson junctions formation and control of properties Effect of processing on properties of thin films Correlation between the microstructure and transport DC and microwave in thin films Noise in HTS materials Multilayered structures Grain Boundaries and Interfaces and New HTS materials bulk materials and thin films.
