This report describes, in general terms, the results of basic research conducted in five areas in which resourceful computing is critical for defense applications 1 Engineering apprentices for resourceful repair, design, and specification 2 Sensing prototypes for recognition, navigation, and manipulation 3 Hardware and software solutions for ultra-large scale computing problems and 4 Analogical and common sense reasoning for analysis and design.
