The dimers PhMe3SiCH2InAsSiMe322 1, MeMe3SiCH2InAsSiMe322 2, MeMe3SiCH2InPSiMe322 3, and C1Me3SiCH2InPSiMe322 4 are reported. These compounds are produced via ligand exchange reactions involving the migration of either alkyl groups, for 1 - 3, or a chlorine atom, in the case of 4, from various group 13 species. Additionally, 3 and 4 can be prepared utilizing alternate routes involving a novel Si-C bond cleavage and reaction of Me3SiCH2InC12 with PSiMe33, respectively. Compound 1 crystallizes in a trans configuration in the triclinic space group with unit cell parameters a 11.8592 , b 12.2222, c 10.0212 A, a 107.591, Beta 110.471, gamma 66.541 deg, V 1225.67 A3 and Z 1. Crystals of isostructural compounds 2 - 4 are isomorphous.
