Abstract:
During the three years of this University Research Initiative, 7 papers have been published in quality scientific journals with high standards of review and 3 have been submitted for publication based on full or partial support of AFOSR-89-0462, including the work of four Ph.D. candidates one of whom received his Ph.D degree within the last two years. There was partial support from this grant on a software package for solving a general second order parameter involved system of elliptic partial differential equations on a two dimensional domain with Dirichlet andor Neuman boundary conditions.
