The objective of this effort has been to commission the free-electron laser and the optical beamline required to distribute the laser beam to the laboratories. Maciunas, Department of Neurosurgery, School of Medicine, the objective of this effort has been to study the interaction of pulsed lasers with brain tissue, and to develop the techniques of sterotactic laser neurosurgery.
