Abstract:

This report describes the test on the FD-565 Optical Digital Transmission System against the high-altitude electromagnetic pulse HEMP. The background of this test is explained with the test objectives. The general FD- 565 system configuration is described along with the test configurations. Also introduced are the facility and data acquisition and processing system. Three different kinds of data are presented operational data, bulk current data, and field level data. For the purpose of statistical analysis, the operational data are tabulated at the end of this report.
