Abstract:

The bond between composite resin and dental porcelain is important in dentistry because without it, porcelain restorations could not be bonded to tooth structure and it would be more difficult to repair defective porcelain restorations intraorally. The objectives of this research were to determine the effects that six dental porcelain surface pretreatments, two types of silanes, and thermocycling had on composite resin-porcelain shear bond strength.
