Abstract:

The Tech Base Seminar War Game, was held on March 28-31, 1988 at the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS, to strengthen the dialogue between the technologists and the users and to evaluate the war fighting utility of our technology achievements. The main insights were robotics to engage the enemy remotely operated high-power microwave systems use of long range precision fire systems integrated intelligence found to be indispensable to use of new technologies operational and tactical deception increased operational mobility use of high capability sensors and a fragmented battlefield developed. Emerging technologies and the resulting future systems are becoming a central element of the evolving strategy and doctrine of the US.
