Abstract:
A 45-gigahertz radar has been developed that yields full-polarization inverse synthetic aperture radar images and instantaneous angle-of-arrival measurements for angular scintillation studies. The system is portable, self-contained, and suitable for measurements of radar cross-section ranges and open, unprepared sites. Measurements have been made successfully on large scale-model targets 8 meters in extent at ranges up to 1000 meters.
