PROJECT CLIO is a special project at the Defence Research Establishment Suffield DRES. The four original objectives of the project were to automate the DRES library collection of books, documents and journals to conduct a security classificationAccess To Information ATI review of all documents published at DRES since 1941 to weed the document collection and to redesign and rearrange library facilities and to provide expert and analytical advice to DRES management on matters of information security and dissemination, ATI, and theoretical and operational aspects of information science. Duties added to the project during the first year included the CW History project and a revised publicity brochure. This paper reports the accomplishments of 1990 and describes the actions taken to achieve specific goals. Included as annexes are three of the automation planning papers and a list of publications related to the project.
