Abstract:
Perchloroethylene PCE is a chemical of relevance to the Air Force Installation Restoration Program IRP efforts. Pharmacokinetics of PCE and available PCE PBPK were reviewed and a preliminary risk assessment was prepared. Physiologically based pharmacokinetic PBPK models developed for PCE were used to examine the behavior of PCE in mice and humans. Uncertainty analysis was applied to the PBPK models used in the risk assessment study. Tetrachloroethylene PERC is a commercially important chemical used as solvents. PERC is also a frequent contaminant of drinking water supplies.
