Comprises the papers presented at a Specialists Meeting held by the Technical Information Panel of AGARD in Trondheim, Norway, 5th to 6th September 1990. Topics discussed include optical media, computer-assisted publishing, broader communication bands, natural language processing and machine translation, full text retrieval, intelligent on-line interfaces, full text indexing and retrieval, the problems faced by database publishers, and the training of information specialists.
