Abstract:
This Project Management Plan was completed as part of the Life Cycle Management LCM process for developing of an Officer Assignment Decision Support System OADSS for the United States Marine Corps. This document summarizes tasks required to develop OADSS, provides a tentative schedule for milestone deliveries, and discusses resources required throughout the systems life cycle. The five sequentially completed phases of the LCM process are discussed 1 Mission AnalysisProject Initiation Phase, 2 Concept Development Phase, 3 DefinitionDesign DEFDES Phase, 4 Development Phase, and 5 DeploymentOperations Phase. The report also summarizes documents associated with each phase that facilitate management accountability and program coordination throughout OADSS life cycle. It is recommended that a General Design Specification be completed as the next stage in the DEFDES Phase of system development.
