Abstract:

The objective of the effort was to collect historical data on at least fourteen actions where the US was in defense of enemy armor. The data will be used in a joint USUK analysis of the degradation in anti-armor defense effectiveness under combat conditions. 29 combat actions were described in detail from the engagement at Krinkelt-Rocherath, Belgium in December 1944. The combat actions are presented in both narrative form and in data tables with all identified data displayed. A database and hard copy file will also be delivered as a final product. This volume also contains a How to Research Guide describing the necessary information to successfully conduct research for this study.
