Scattering of CO2 laser radiation off roughened aluminum surfaces was measured and compared to the predictions of Papa, Lennon, and Taylor. The incident radiation was linearly perpendicular to the incident plane, and the scattering was analyzed along two directions, parallel and perpendicular to the scattering plane. The experimental set up described in detail and data are presented for several depression and aspect angles.
