Abstract:

The stimulated emission cross section for the NFb 1Sigma to X 3Sigma- transition has been derived under conditions of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation where coordinates involving nuclear and electronic motion are separable. Exact and Hunds coupling case B Honl-London factors are presented. Sample calculations for the five rotational branches of the NFb 1Sigma to X 3Sigma-0,0 band at several temperatures are given.
