Abstract:

The principal investigator produced five published papers during the period of support. The work centered on questions of Fourierwavelet analysis. This is an area which promises to have a major impact on signal processing and numerical analysis and requires careful theoretical underpinning. Dr. Madych has resolved several questions related to translation invariance, multiscale analysis and Radon transforms.
