Abstract:
Monoclonal antibodies, generated against the New World Leishmania have been used to identify taxons, dissect complex antigenic profiles, study host cell-parasite interactions, detect parasites in tissues of the host, develop species-specific serodiagnostic assays and to study the immunopathology of the disease.
