Abstract:

This report represents the dynamic modeling part of an experimental theoretical effort to develop and test pointing and tracking control techniques for a mechanical system containing both rigid and flexible bodies. Recently much work has been done to model open loop chains of rigid and elastic bodies with application to kinematic linkages, spacecraft, and manipulators.
