Abstract:

This study discusses the factors related to the optimal selection of aimpoints for direct fire. Mean point of impact or bias errors and round-to- round or precision errors are considered. The concepts and techniques related to the problem are developed through a series of examples. A study looking into the effects of varying the precision errors is presented.
